Job Descriptions
Now that the essential competencies have been defined for each
critical job family, a comprehensive job description can be
developed. This job description will incorporate all aspects
of the job profile including essential competencies, overall
job purpose, key job objectives, reporting and contacting
functions, anticipated environmental working conditions, and
any other pertinent data important to job success. Part of the
process in developing the various job descriptions is to
ensure there is not duplication of effort, the internal
customer/supplier relationship and satisfaction is defined,
prerequisites are realistic and attainable, and that the
document is easy to understand.
